DFW Building Fund

DFW Building Fund

As awareness of Yogananda and his teachings continues to grow worldwide, the DFW Meditation Group is dedicated to doing our part to support the growing work of Self-Realization Fellowship in North Texas. Our DFW Chapel 2020 project is our fundraising campaign to build or purchase a permanent SRF center in Dallas-Ft. Worth by the year 2020. Our Dallas-Ft. Worth Meditation Group is supported entirely by donations received from members and friends. We thank you for your continued financial support of our Meditation Group and DFW Chapel 2020.

To support our fundraising plans, SRF has established a Dallas-Ft. Worth Building Fund account on our behalf at the SRF Mother Center. All donations to this account are tax-deductible and are treated confidentially.¹

Building Options

Optional approaches to establishing a local temple include acquiring an existing church property, the most common approach, or purchasing land and constructing a new temple from the ground up. Examples of these two options are on the DFW Chapel 2020 page.

Fundraising Goal

Our main fundraising goal is to set aside adequate funds for the purchase of a permanent home for our meditation group. Every gift is deeply appreciated and will help make a difference for our Group.

Donations we receive in response to this appeal will be deposited into the Dallas-Ft. Worth Building Fund and will be used to support the purchase of a building for the group, and may also be used to cover large maintenance expenses associated with the group’s building and future meeting facilities, grounds, equipment, furniture, vehicles, fundraising expenses, property taxes, and any potential future property purchases which are not typically funded through our operating budget.

While it is Self-Realization Fellowship’s intent to use all designated gifts as outlined above, SRF reserves the right for the use of all gifts to SRF to be determined by the Board of Directors of Self-Realization Fellowship. In exceptional circumstances where the designated purposes are no longer feasible, or have been completed, or for other good cause, the SRF Board may redirect such gifts to other appropriate ministries or projects, including any project that comes closest to the basic original purpose of the designation.

Our goal is to raise $450,000. More details about the purchase of a new building can be found on the DFW Chapel 2020 page.
