“Every person needs a retreat, a “dynamo” of silence, where he may go for the exclusive purpose of being newly recharged by the Infinite.” ― Paramahansa Yogananda
Many mystics, saints, and spiritual leaders have advocated periods of silence and solitude for spiritual growth. Paramahansa Yogananda said, “You may be surprised at what seclusion with God will do for your mind, body, and soul. . . . Through the portals of silence the healing sun of wisdom and peace will shine upon you.”
Every Spring and Fall, an All-Day Retreat is held on a Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at the home of Lynn Meyer overlooking Lake Texoma. We welcome everyone to attend. Retreatants come to relax and become receptive to the omnipresent blessings of the Lord, to renew their spirit, or inwardly seek solutions to troublesome questions and problems. The lakeside location is a wonderfully peaceful retreat setting. There are trails, places to sit outdoors, and views of Lake Texoma to enjoy during Free Time. A retreat provides a chance to get away from all our daily cares and responsibilities and recharge our bodies, minds and souls with the loving, peaceful, joyous presence of God. The day of spiritual retreat is a time to work on cultivating a deeper personal relationship with God. We hope you can join us for our next All-Day Retreat and experience the benefits of this very special day as expressed by the comments of devotees who have attended previous retreats.
