Paramahansa Yogananda Birthday Events, 2020

Sunday, January 5

Special Sunday Morning Service, 10:00 am to 11:15 am. As this year marks the 100 year anniversary of Self-Realization Fellowship, this service will present Master’s thoughts and voice in “A Time for Remembering” recalling the days before his voyage to America.

Sunday morning one-hour Livestream Event from Mother Center, 11:30 am. This celebration will be led by SRF/YSS President Brother Chidananda with monastics at the SRF International Headquarters in Los Angeles.

Paramahansa Yogananda Birthday Commemoration Service, 7:00 pm. We will hold our Birthday Commemoration Service followed by a birthday cake for Master. Please bring a flower and donation representing loyalty and faithfulness to the cause of SRF. Please remember not to take the scent of the flower as this is meant as an offering to Master.

Saturday, January 11

Paramahansa Yogananda All-Day Commemorative Meditation 10am-5pm. Please see instructions for this event. Please bring pranami(a devotional offering) of fruit. The fruit symbolizes the devotee’s reverence and devotion for the Guru. There will be an intermission at 1:30 pm. If one is not able to remain for the entire mediation service, one should attend the first half only.
