The Dallas-Ft. Worth Meditation Group is supported entirely by donations received from members and friends. We greatly appreciate your continued financial support of our Meditation Group and our Chapel 2025 Campaign. Chapel 2025 is our fundraising campaign to purchase or build a permanent SRF chapel and facilities in Dallas-Ft. Worth. To support our fundraising efforts, SRF has established a Dallas-Ft. Worth Building Fund account on our behalf at the SRF Mother Center.

2020 Fundraising Goal Accomplished

Our initial goal was to raise a minimum of $450,000 by the end of 2020 for the purchase of a permanent SRF chapel and facilities in Dallas-Ft. Worth. This goal was accomplished. The Chapel 2025 goal is $850,000. The funds may also be used to support expenses associated with the establishment and upkeep of facilities which are not typically funded through our operating budget. These may include large maintenance expenses, equipment, furniture, fundraising expenses, and any potential future property purchases.¹

Matching Gifts

Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. If you wish to make such a gift to the Dallas-Ft. Worth Building Fund, please check with your company to see if it offers a matching gift program that will match your gift to make the most of your donation. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift.

If your company offers a matching gift program, you can request a matching gift form from your employer. Where indicated on the form, include the SRF Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN): 95-1942336. Send the completed form with your gift to the Dallas-Ft. Worth Building Fund at SRF by fax to 323-276-5612 or by mail to 3880 San Rafael Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90065.  SRF will then contact your employer’s matching gift program and handle the rest of the details. Before starting this process, SRF recommends you call the Self-Realization Fellowship Office of Planned Giving listed below for more information.

Other Ways of Giving to the Building Fund

Additional ways to donate to the DFW Building Fund include outright gifts in the form of appreciated securities, real or personal property and other types of assets, and deferred gifts in the form of charitable trusts. Bequests eligible for a charitable estate tax deduction can be made by naming the organization as a beneficiary in, among other things, a will, a trust, an insurance policy, or retirement funds. The forms of gifts that can be made to the DFW Building Fund are explained on the Planned Giving and Bequests page at the SRF website. There are links to a brochure on SRF’s Planned Giving Program and more comprehensive details on Types of Planned Gifts. For more information, please call the SRF Office of Planned Giving.

All other online donations that are not designated to the Building Fund will be used to meet the general operating expenses of Self-Realization Fellowship.

¹While it is Self-Realization Fellowship’s intent to use all designated gifts as outlined above, SRF reserves the right for the use of all gifts to SRF to be determined by the Board of Directors of Self-Realization Fellowship.
